Since the first generation of chips and OEM GNSS modules announced in 2012, ComNav Technology adhered to technological innovation unremittingly to lead the GNSS industry and provide world-class GNSS products to global users. This year, ComNav Technology launched its third generation of GNSS chips and modules, making great breakthrough in performance.
The first Quantum I ASIC chip, embedded in discontinued K5-series boards, most K7-series GNSS boards, including K726 & K728 boards with additional heading function, K708 with full-constellation & triple-frequency tracking capability, provided strong heart for positioning and navigation applications.
K705 GNSS boards, integrated with Quantum II chip, had strong tracking capability while reduced size and power consumption. The progress made in size and power consumption increased the possibilities of integrating GNSS technology with other technologies.
After continuous innovation, ComNav Technology introduced the latest Quantum III SoC chip in 2020. The new released K8-series modules led the industry in many aspects. With on-board inertial measurement unit (IMU), K8 series modules performed more reliably and accurately in signal-limited environments.
Except for IMU, K803 GNSS module achieved great improvements in signal tracking, size, power consumption and anti-interference, which made it possible to apply in a wider range of professional and consuming markets, no matter traditional land survey or emerging IoT and intelligent driving.
Compared with K803, K823 GNSS module features dual-frequency and dual-antenna. 1226 channels signal tracking guarantees stable dynamic performance and reliable positioning & heading for all unmanned systems.
Card versions and EVK forms of K8 series were also available in order to meet various demands of customers. As for developers, SMD design of modules make it easier to integrate while for old users, card version is the suitable option. Card version can seamlessly realize hardware upgrade as it has the same size and pin definition with K7-series and other common GNSS modules in the market. Concerning with new users or terminal users, EVK of K8 series module, going with our supporting software, offers convenient positioning services even lack integration experience.
In all words, K-series products are made to suit different demands of users. The detailed differences are illustrated in the following table. Find the most suitable GNSS module for you!
